Auditorium gets “major sponsor”

Walhalla will commit $1,800 from its hospitality fund for the city to serve as a major sponsor for the privately-run Civic Auditorium.  As explained last night by Councilman Lamar Bailes, the sponsorship will cover a half dozen shows staged by the auditorium.  At the urging of Councilman Josh Holliday, an allotment of tickets to which the city is entitled as part of the deal will be made available to the city’s restaurants, which charge and collect the hospitality tax for the city.
