City of Clemson apologizes to residents of the Bentbrook subdivision.  Their trash bins yesterday remained full.  Public Works’ crews could not run the Bentbrook route because of road paving.  If your garbage was not picked up, crews are out early this morning to collect the garbage.

The state police say the 33-year-old man shot and killed Sunday at the Easley Wal-Mart was armed with a hatchet.  According to “SLED”, officers shot the armed Shawn Anthony Elrod.  No officers were hurt.  The investigation is ongoing.  The Easley police requested the state police to investigate.  

As late as yesterday, as well as in recent days, a contract crew has gone to work on a new surface for the Poplar Springs Bridge above SC 28/the Blue Ridge Boulevard.  A smoother surface for passing motorists is expected.
