Oconee Republican Party sent 14 delegates to Saturday’s state GOP convention in Columbia.  In all, 782 South Carolina Republicans served as convention delegates.

A couple of Walhalla Bojangle’s customers were surprised on Saturday to find the restaurant without napkins.  Police Chief Tim Rice has confirmed someone stole two napkin holders from the counter.  “We do have a possible suspect but no charges have been filed and it’s still under investigation.

A large bear, 250-300 pounds, was killed last week when hit by a car near Toccoa, Georgia.  Radio WNEG quotes a wrecker service operator as saying the bear was hit on the Highway 17 ByPass at Highway 145.  The wrecker operator, Marvin Brown, said he processed the necessary DNR paperwork to take the body of the bear to be mounted.  […]
