Ground rules set for meeting in Seneca

Anyone who ventures into a meeting today in Seneca will be required to submit to a temperature check conducted with a non-contact digital thermometer.  Those are the ground rules set for today’s special meeting of the policy-making board of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority.  The meeting is planned at 4 o’clock at the Gignilliat Community Center.

Pet food will be given away by the Oconee Humane Society today in Walhalla. Humane Society workers will set up at the Walhalla Visitor’s Center, 105 W. S. Broad Street, from 11 to 1 on to provide pet food for anyone.

Woman falls to death in Pickens County

An 18-year old Greenville woman was killed early yesterday afternoon in a fall in Pickens County.  Coroner Kandy Kelley says the death of Nathalie Ann Ospina occurred in an incident at the Twin Falls in the Sunset Community.  Ospina’s death is being investigated by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

A power line and a transformer caught fire during the 3 o’clock hour this morning on Walhalla’s Lakeside Drive.
