Two children hurt in go-kart wreck

A go-kart accident last evening near Walhalla sent two children to the hospital.  The accident occurred on Little Country Lane near Hefner Road.  A Walhalla fire fighter said out of precaution, the children were sent to a Greenville hospital.  The go-kart wound up in an area of grass and gravel.

During the midnight hour, fire broke out in a home in the Townville area.  The location:  Old Dobbins Bridge Road near I-85. As part of a mutual aid agreement, Oconee’s Fair Play Department assisted Anderson County fire fighters in putting a stop to the fire.
