West Union property taxes to increase

West Union taxpayers will dig a bit deeper this year to satisfy their obligation to town government.  Christy Hubbard, the Oconee County auditor, announced this week that of the county’s five municipalities, only West Union property taxes are figured for an increase in 2023.  Hubbard says West Union’s tax rate   will reflect a 54.3 millage.
