Statewide conference coming to the Gorges

Hikers found

A search today for hikers along the Chattooga River has succeeded in locating those who were missing.  And Mike Crane, District Ranger, says the hikers are fine–having been found near the highway 28 bridge not far from Georgia.  No details as yet to as how they came to difficulty.

NRC finding: apparent Unit One violation

Nuclear Regulatory Commission is disclosing a preliminary greater than green finding and related apparent violation involving a crack in a weld in Unit One at the Oconee Nuclear Station. Sex crime alleged near Seneca

Oconee sheriff’s officers arrested a 28-year old Seneca man, Christopher Trent Wilder of Utica Street, on the charge of criminal sexual conduct first degree. An arrest affidavit, signed by Sgt. Updating the plan!

Fincannon arrested a second time

For a second time, a 75-year old man near Westminster faces allegations of child sex crimes. The Oconee Sheriff’s Office reports the latest arrest of Harold Fincannon of Eastwood Circle, Westminster took place in the Myrtle Beach area. Clemson approves fee increases
