Equipment theft arrests at CU

Elderly woman suffers burns

A 91-year old woman is said to have suffered leg burns when a brush fire got out of control yesterday afternoon on Seneca’s S. Oak Street. The fire was quickly doused, but the injured homeowner required hospital treatment.

Fire damages three structures

March 12, 2014

Fire late yesterday afternoon in the Townville area of Anderson County damaged three structures. Anderson County fire fighters received assistance from Oconee County’s Crossroads and Friendship fire departments. Those fire stations, according to Oconee Chief Charlie King, sent one engine, two tankers, and 15 fire fighters.
