A signature Seneca event set for Friday

A crowd of 300 is expected Friday at Seneca’s Family Life Institute for the city’s annual Black History Luncheon. All tickets have been taken, according to Shelby Henderson. Each year the event grows by reputation. Keynoting this year’s luncheon will be Dr. Brenda Tindall who is involved with the creation of an International African American Museum in Charleston.

Snowfall totals

The weatherman says he is sorry.  He missed the forecast on Saturday when a 2.5″ snow fell here outside WGOG.  Listeners have given us the following other snowfall counts:  3″ in both Zion and Richland communities; 4″ in Mountain Rest.  At the Hickory Hollow weather station in Walhalla, Official Weather Observer Barbara Wilson reported 2.5″ of snow.
