Stolen car found near Seneca

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office has cancelled the alert for a stolen car.  The 2005 Chrysler Town and Country Van, stolen from a work location on the Sandifer Boulevard, turned up Friday morning on the Campbell Bridge Road near the Friendship Road.  And the Sheriff’s Office reported attempts were underway to reunite the car with its owner.

A “blue light” morning

Squad cars with blue lights blinking are prominent at two locations this morning in the Walhalla-Westminster area.  We are told that officers made a traffic stop on 28/the Blue Ridge Boulevard near the bridge over highway 11.  No explanation, so far, for why several public safety responders have gathered on 183/the Westminster Highway, in the vicinity of Bennett Road.
