Woods fire threatened structures

A Walhalla area woods fire yesterday afternoon spread to burn one structure and threaten others, according to Walhalla Fire Department.  The fire scene was Remus Drive near the Rock Crusher Road.  Chief Brandon Burton urges the public to be careful as we have entered drought stages and this fall’s fire season could be difficult.

A 27-year old man found hiding under a Seneca mobile home has been arrested in the police investigation of thefts, burglaries, and vehicle break-ins.
