Two men charged with burglaries at homeless shelter

Two men are in custody charged in separate burglaries at Seneca’s Our Daily Rest. The crimes occurred Tuesday and Wednesday. By Wednesday, the police had their suspects corralled, but in the process blood spilled. Two police officers and one of the suspects fell thru a plate glass window at the Main Street Garage building. Tigers open with big win

The defending champs, the Clemson Tigers, opened the season in convincing style–a 52-14 win at home last night over Georgia Tech.  The opener marked the debut of Seneca’s foray as an official tailgating spot.  About 100 fans watched the game on a large screen downtown.  At Gignilliat Field, a couple of pull behind campers were positioned.
