A regulatory board in Seneca decides tonight whether a pair of projects within the city’s design review district are appropriate.  Board of Architectural Review hearings will consider a certificate for the Seneca Improvements Corporation for 119 Ram Cat Alley and for Polo Inc. at 403 E. Main Street.  The City Hall public hearings start at 6 o’clock.

Early yesterday fire burned a vacant mobile home west of Walhalla.  Chief Brandon Burton of the Walhalla Fire Department said the call to Willow Lane came at 1:30 in the morning.  Burton’s department, along with the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, is investigating the case.

Chief Sean Brinson of the Walhalla police confirms his department is in an “active investigation” today of an assault reported at the Standepointe Vista apartments on N. Catherine Street.  “Not any more details at this point to report, though,” Brinson told us.

Gas prices continued to climb overnight for the fourth straight day following facility shutdowns from attacks in Saudi Arabia this past weekend.
