Fire this afternoon destroyed a barn on the Cleveland Pike Road between Westminster and Georgia.  Fire fighters requested an ambulance and medical personnel to protect crews from the effects of fighting a fire in the warm temperatures.

At the height of last night’s storm, three Westminster transformers became disabled from a broken pole caused by high winds.  Lightning also plagued Westminster’s situation last night.  The outages were widespread: 300 customers lost service.  By 8 this morning, the number of outages were down to 13–all residential.
