Alley to the Valley set for debut

A new way to ride to Clemson home football games has been approved to debut this season in Seneca.  Alley to the Valley will offer parking and tailgating from downtown Seneca and transportation to Memorial Stadium for Tiger games.  After meetings with city officials, Clemson gave its blessing to the initiative which will carry a requirement that Seneca join IPTAY.

A Saturday noon hour accident in Oconee County took the life of a 49-year old man. Coroner Karl Addis said James Brian Tharp died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 12:10 pm Saturday at Bountyland Road and Poplar Ridge Drive. Addis says the accident was a head-on collision. South Carolina DSS has detected the possibility that someone is fraudulently sending emails to induce the recipients to give out personal information. The tactic is called phishing, and the target appears to be recipients of “SNAP”—the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—and “TANF”—the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. Complications from drowning take life of veterinarian

A veterinarian in Clemson has died from what the coroner says are complications from drowning.  Seneca resident Derek E. Lindsey died yesterday morning in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.  He was 47 years old.  Oconee Coroner Karl Addis says Lindsey, a Hillandale Road, Seneca resident, went swimming in Lake Keowee near his home last Saturday and was searching for missing sunglasses.  […]
