A candidate for Walhalla City Council in November has withdrawn from the field of hopefuls.  The office of Oconee elections announces the withdrawal of Freddie Lopez.  Nonetheless, the timing is such that Lopez’s name will remain on the November 7 ballot.  Signs to indicate Lopez is no longer running will be posted at the polling location.
