Arrest made in 2013 home burglary

A 34-year old Townville man has been arrested by sheriff’s officers in the investigation of a 2013 home burglary in rural Oconee County. Seneca intersection accident

One driver was hurt in an accident this morning at Seneca’s N. Townville and Railroad intersection. The police say the driver of a Honda was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police were looking for the second vehicle, a truck, that according to Lt. Robert Tribble left the scene of the accident.

One week of General Sessions Court

Seven cases are on the trial docket for this week’s term of Oconee General Sessions Court in Walhalla. Defendants are charged with offenses including driving under the influence, drugs, assault, kidnapping, and resisting arrest.
