Two stab wounds, one fatal

An autopsy has disclosed that a 27-year old man killed Tuesday in Walhalla sustained two stab wounds, one of which proved fatal. Coroner Karl Addis said the autopsy confirmed that a knife inflicted two stab wounds to the back of Jeremy Lee Little. The Walhalla police have arrested three people in their investigation, and Addis says the police investigation continues.

Judge declares end to trial

The trial of a Walhalla area man ended when the jury was unable to reach a verdict. Judge Eugene Griffith declared a hung jury last night in the Oconee General Sessions Court in the State’s case against Bruce Alan Wilson Sr., charged with resisting arrest. Deputies answered a domestic call to Wilson’s home on Rooster Drive on August 2, 2013.

Fire in Westminster

In Westminster, fire fighters had little trouble this morning putting the stop to a small fire inside the bedroom of a home at 209 E. North Avenue. Chief Chris Smith of the Westminster Fire Department said the homeowner stood outside his home and greeted the fire fighters on their arrival. They were unable to immediately determine why the fire started.

An ambulance has just left the scene of a Walhalla accident, without transporting any of the individuals involved.  The accident occurred at the intersection of S. Traffic backup on U-S 76

 An accident on U-S 76 in the vicinity of the bridge over the Chattooga River left traffic backed up both ways. The accident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.  96.3/WGOG NEWS was told that two cars were involved in the accident and one person was sent to the hospital.
