$1 million sewer project near Walhalla

A hearing tonight in Seneca.  At city council’s 6 o’clock meeting at city hall, the public may comment on and ask questions about an ordinance to close and abandon right-of-way, transfer real property of the city, and other matters.  Tonight’s meeting will follow an agenda and serve as Seneca’s August city council meeting.

July home burglary leads to arrest

The police in Westminster arrested a 22-year old Oconeean in the investigation of a home burglary.  Law enforcement records yesterday showed Austin Lee Goins of Shook Road, Seneca arrested and charged with petty larceny and first degree burglary.  Goins is accused of stealing jewelry, including a man’s wedding ring, from a home on McNair Drive, Westminster July 21.

Teenager killed during yesterday’s storm

A 15-year old Anderson boy lost his life around 5 pm yesterday during the severe storm that struck his area.  Evan Chrstopher Kinley, a sophomore at T-L Hanna High School, died of multiple trauma injuries when a tree fell on a garage.  The boy was found beneath the large tree.  According to the coroner’s office, investigation reveals the victim arrived […]
