Power has been restored to the sections of downtown Seneca that went without this morning.  Bob Faires, utilities superintendent, blames a squirrel scampering onto a transformer which blew a fuse.

Power has been interrupted in parts of downtown Seneca.  Affected is the northside block of Ramcat Alley, along with other areas such as parts of N. 1st Street.  The outage on one side of Ramcat has taken off air 94.1 The Lake WSNW.

At their special meeting today, Oconee County Council is to discuss grant and performance agreements benefitting a battery maker for electric vehicles.  Project EV Pack-Oconee involves a German company, Akasol, recently acquired by the Borg Warner Company.
