A sixth grade student at Walhalla Middle School led the pledge of allegiance at last night’s school board meeting.  Ava Fortson is held out as an example of having made the transition from the elementary grades to the middle school grades.  In Ava’s case, she transitioned from the Tamassee-Salem Elementary School to the Walhalla Middle School.
