Shooting near Westminster

A man wounded by gunfire late yesterday afternoon near Westminster was sent to the hospital for treatment. A spokesman for the Oconee Sheriff’s Department described the shooting as a leg wound. Sheriff’s officers are investigating the incident believed to have arisen over a dispute involving a third person.

    Two Seneca residents have been arrested in a manhunt in Georgia, led by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland said Brandon Wayne Arnold, 29 years old, was wanted by the ATF for alleged illegal sale and trafficking of firearms.
