Cars collide in Seneca

An accident this morning at a Seneca street corner. The police say one of the drivers required a trip to the hospital when two cars collided at E. Main and Lindsay Road. In the 9 o’clock hour accident, the police say, charges are pending against the other driver.

A 31-year old Toccoa, Georgia woman has been arrested in Oconee County and charged with third degree arson at a home in Walhalla. The Oconee Sheriff’s Office seeks a second person related to the crime. Equine encephalitis confirmed in South Carolina

South Carolina’s state veterinarian announced today that two cases of Eastern Equine Encephalitis have been confirmed in the state. A horse that died in Darlington County and a miniature donkey that died in Horry County recently tested positive for the disease.
