The Andrew Pickens Ranger District looks to burn 1300 acres in the Russell Mountain area today. Objectives are hazardous fuels reduction and wildlife habitat maintenance. Smoke impacts should be of short duration with minimal impacts. Smoke may be visible along Highway 28. Motorist should use caution on Highway 28 as they approach the Georgia State Line.
