State troopers are investigating a hit-run fatality early Saturday on I-85 near the entrance to the state Welcome Center at Fair Play. Backseat passenger fatal victim

A traffic accident last night near Walhalla took the life of a backseat passenger. Coroner Karl Addis this morning identified the fatality as Timothy Mark Hoover. The 28-year old Seneca man was riding in a 2007 Chevy Avalanche that hit a tree and overturned. Two other people were taken from the scene to the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
