Oconee sheriff’s deputies report a missing boat motor has been recovered and an arrest made in a case classified as stolen property. According to law enforcement reports, 29-year old Nicholas James Crawford of Stormy Lane, Seneca was arrested yesterday and charged with receiving stolen goods. Students present research at ACC conference

Eight Clemson students presented their research results at the annual ACC Meeting of the Minds Undergraduate Research Conference held at Wake Forest University. A 43-year old man surrendered to Oconee deputies last night and a barricade situation at a home near Walhalla ended peacefully at 8:41 p-m. Georgia man drowns in Lake Hartwell

Authorities say a 54-year old man drowned on the Georgia side of Lake Hartwell Saturday while trying to swim back from a buoy.
