Fatal motorcycle crash in Anderson County

A Georgia motorcyclist was killed yesterday morning in a crash in Anderson County on highway 29.  Coroner Greg Shore said the victim was Bowman, Georgia resident Austin Mykal Bestwick.  The coroner’s announcement states that 26-year-old Bestwick apparently lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected.  Speed, the coroner says, was a major factor.

Fatal home fire at Pickens

A Pickens man lost his life in a home fire yesterday at 307 Mile Creek Road.  The coroner’s office identifies the victim as Robert Dwayne O’Bryant.  The cause and manner of the fire remained under investigation by the coroner’s office, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
