This year’s South Carolina General Assembly and other state government matters are the subjects for a public meeting tonight in Westminster. At 6:30 at the Depot on Main Street, Oconee’s 3-member state delegation will host their annual public meeting. Traditionally, this meeting is held around the time of the start of the new legislative year.

Those interested in the city of Clemson’s future are invited for a Thursday “Conversations with Council.” It’s an informal meeting — no votes to be taken — at 6:30 pm tomorrow in the Community Room of Fire Station #2 at 740 Issaqueena Trail.
