Woods fire

A woods fire broke out around 8 last night in Oconee County.  Fire fighters rolled their trucks and equipment to Ridgecrest Drive near SC 183/the Walhalla-Pickens Highway and required three hours at the scene to put a stop to the fire.  According to one estimate, the fire may have consumed 1.5 acres.

Tropical system should bring needed rain
