The South Carolina Attorney General, Alan Wilson, says the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of his office arrested Chanda Larissa Sargent, 43-year old Salem resident, on multiple charges of financial transaction card fraud and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.  Sargent was jailed yesterday in Oconee County. Administrators elicit feedback feedback from district teachers

From school district headquarters to the teacher faculties countywide.  That’s the path taken by Dr. Michael Thorsland, district superintendent, and Lisa Simmons, the assistant superintendent for instruction.  At last night’s school board meeting, Thorsland announced that he and Simmons have completed their visits with faculties throughout the district and gained valuable feedback.

Oconeean part of bridge repair crew

A South Carolina DOT worker from Oconee, Matthew Huller, was part of a crew that repaired the pilings on a Liberty Highway bridge over Twelve Mile River.  Huller and the rest of the crew removed and replaced old, rusted bracings, and re-inforced steel pilings that, over the years, had rusted and deteriorated.  Their efforts are told in the fall edition […]
