A Pine Street switcheroo

The offices of Oconee County Human Resources and the county’s Administration are switching places at the county’s Pine Street government office complex.  Administration, which includes the county administrator and the county attorney, are moving across the hallway.  Human Resources, the county’s personnel department, will vacate and take up Administration’s offices, which are being remodeled ahead of the switch.

So far, a 4% Oconee County vote

The Early Voting Center continues to do a steady business at the Oconee County administrative offices in Walhalla.  In the 1 o’clock hour this afternoon, 2,681 county voters had cast their November 8 ballots.  Ryan Nowland, assistant elections director, says the 2,600 number equates to 4% of the total number of eligible Oconee County voters.
