New sidewalk ahead for Streetscape

The Walhalla Streetscape contractor is hoping that it can start preparations for new sidewalk on Main Street—between the blocks of Ann and Spring streets.  But, according to Hutch ‘N Son, wet dirt conditions are a problem on the grades for the new sidewalks.  Yesterday workers finished most of the curb work on the south side of Main Street.

Libraries seek handicapped ramps

James Robert McAlister, 85, of 455 Heritage Lane, Westminster died Sunday at his home.
