The Mountain Rest area sees a new prescribed burn today. Spokesman Kyle Errecart of the U-S Forest Service says today’s burn, 393 acres, at Presbyterian Lake, at highway 290, and the Cedar Creek Rifle Range Road. Forest Service models indicate the smoke will likely blow southerly, and an area of impact could North Carolina’s Lake Toxaway.
