Westminster expands corporate limits

Westminster City Council gave first reading last night to ordinances to annex properties and assign zoning classifications to them.  Mayor Ramey says there are six separate addresses to be added to the city limits.  They are located on Nina Circle, Cornelia Avenue, Clearmont Road, the Westminster Highway, and Marcengill Road.

The new, six-member city council in Westminster is on board to develop Hall Street property into a large recreation complex.  Mayor Ramey said, after receiving a recommendation last night from Steve Grogan, who chairs the project planning committee, the council was unanimous to accept a conceptual design and to direct its administrator to move forward with the process.
