Significant rainfall this month has improved lake storage in the Keowee-Toxaway River Basin and that, according to Duke Energy, allows the regional drought plan to return to Stage O. Jeep strikes tree in Walhalla

May 13, 2013

A Jeep left Walhalla’s East Main Street at night and hit a tree in front of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Capt. Curtis Rogers of the Walhalla Police Department said Saturday’s accident occurred at 3 a-m and left the driver with apparent minor injuries. Other details of the accident remained under investigation over the weekend.
