Budget numbers at the meeting of the board of Pioneer Rural Water project expenses next year at $5.1 million; income, at $5.2 million.  As to whether the Oconee-Anderson customers will pay more over the next year, General Manager Terry Pruitt yesterday said, “I am putting together some options for the Board to consider at the June meeting.”

SC 24 traffic fatality identified

The man killed early Wednesday in a two-car accident on SC 24 west of Anderson has been identified as a 32-year old Fair Play man.  He was Matthew Dion Sammons, according to Don McCown, deputy Anderson County coroner.  The second driver in the accident, Amy Leann Pounds of West Union, required a medical air flight for treatment.
