School District makes administrator moves

Oconee public schools are announcing two new appointments.  One of the district’s familiar faces , Richard Alexander, is retiring after 45 years.  He’ll be succeeded by Josh Wittrock, the Orchard Park Elementary principal.  At Seneca Charlotte Kiker becomes assistant principal at Northside Elementary.  Currently, Kiker is curriculum coordinator at Orchard Park.

Home fire near Seneca

Fire broke out last night at a home near Seneca on Krabbe Lane.  Rural Fire reports no one hurt, but the fire fighters required nearly three hours at the scene, starting around 9:45.  The home location was described near the Wells Highway, about halfway between the roundabout and SC 59.
