Walhalla officials are hopeful that trees and shrubs will hide the large wall visible at Lake Keowee, from the city’s first-year raw water intake structure and resolve complaints about aesthetics. Fire burned a barn-type, storage structure at mid morning today near Westminster. Chief Smith of the fire department said this fire–origin so far undetermined–occurred on Island Road near Doyle Street. One of the fire fighters complained of respiratory difficulty, was treated at the scene, but not transported to the hospital, according to Smith.
