Church declares a free food Wednesday

The idea behind the popular adage is that it’s impossible to get something for nothing.  But the adage, “There is no such thing as a free lunch” does not apply tomorrow at an E. Sex crimes send doctor to prison

An elderly doctor in Hartwell, Georgia may no longer maintain office hours.  A jury this month found Dr. Timothy Beeson guilty of aggravated sexual battery, child molestation, and sexual battery of a minor.  Beeson is 74 years old, and Lake Hartwell Radio WLHR reports the court is requiring a 25-year prison sentence, with no parole possible.  Beeson maintained an office […]

“Cultivating your Community” tonight

Clemson University sponsors a program tonight in Seneca for youngsters and their guardians or parents. “Cultivating your Community” is designed for children 10 to 14 and their parents or guardians at 6 o’clock at the Blue Ridge Community Center.  It’s a 24-week “STEM” program that offers history and culture, plant science, along with health and nutrition.
