A grand larceny warrant issued by the Oconee Summary Court accuses a Seneca man of taking a 2005 Ford F-150 from a Wells Highway auto dealer.  Records released by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office show the grand larceny charge was made against Melvin Leonel Saravia-Cabrera.

Seneca police records disclose that a Travelers Rest man has been charged with stealing a car.  A warrant charging grand larceny alleges that Samuel Scott Horton took a 2010 Chrysler 300 from a Northwoods Drive address late last month.  

Protecting historical markers is one of the agenda items this week for a meeting of the Oconee Arts and Historical Commission.  At its meeting Thursday, the commissioners are to see an ordinance pertaining to protecting the markers.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is today.  And tomorrow participating South Carolina DHEC health departments will offer free tests.  African Americans are disproportionately affected, and DHEC is hopeful tests and awareness will increase in Black communities.
