Local political contacts agree that a conservative state senator from Anderson, Richard Cash, is a sure hopeful to try for the Republicans’ nomination for the U-S House, now that long-time Rep. Jeff Duncan will not seek re-election this year.  One political source told us that, even if Duncan had sought re-nomination, he would have faced in-party challenge from Cash.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Summerville, Jacob Walter Noack, died in an accident yesterday afternoon at Clemson, on the Old Greenville Highway at the Anderson Highway.  The Pickens Coroner’s Office states Noack’s motorcycle was involved in a collision with a second vehicle.  He was wearing a helmet.  The investigation by the coroner’s office and the Clemson campus police is continuing.  An […]
