Today is the official start of tax season, and the United Way of Oconee will again offer Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.  The program, starting February 8, is available to any person or household whose incomes are $60 thousand or less.  The volunteer preparers are IRS advanced certified.  Appointments are being taken by calling 2-1-1.
