All Oconee County recycling centers are open today, but they’ll close both tomorrow and Friday for the Thanksgiving holidays.  The recycling centers, formerly called manned convenience centers, will reopen on Saturday to deposit post-Thanksgiving Day waste.

Fire fighters around 6 this morning determined no fire in the McDonald’s restaurant at West Union.  But they discovered the belts running the air handler overheated and spread smoke to the building, isolated to the playground area.
