Early morning homicide near Seneca

The coroner is reporting a new Oconee County homicide.  The victim early this morning was a 48-year old man, Aaron Parrish Putnam.  Coroner Addis says a 9-1-1 call was received at 1:11 am at 170 Singing Pines Road.  Addis says Putnam died at the scene.  The Oconee Sheriff’s Office is investigating.  An autopsy will be conducted.

Thursday-Saturday COVID 19 South Carolina numbers

Thursday through Saturday last week new, confirmed cases of COVID 19 ranged in the 500-plus-a-day category. The 24-hour count on Friday showed 48 deaths as the high day for deaths during the three days.  Two new Oconee County deaths were reported–one counted on Thursday; the other, on Saturday.  Test positivity percentages for the three days were  3.8%, 4.3%, and 4.6%.
