Fallen tree closes Walhalla street

Walhalla Fire Department requests motorists this morning to avoid trying to use a short-cut thru street in the city because of a fallen tree.  The fallen tree has forced the fire department to close Hunter Avenue, between N. Catherine Street and Spring Street.  It’s possible that electric power lines have been hit, and Duke Energy has been summoned.
