We have word from the Walhalla utilities superintendent that test results have been good.  And Scott Parris, the utilities director, says he is about to issue a rescind boil water advisory for water customers in the Picket Post Community that includes the Walhalla High School.

At the noon hour today, health care workers  in Walhalla will administer free of charge the Pfizer vaccine to protect people against COVID-19.  It’ll be an 8-hour clinic at the Walhalla Library, from noon until 8 tonight.  Walk-ins will be welcomed.

Once again, Walhalla Methodists have chosen today–Wednesday afternoon–to give away boxes of food.  You can pick up a box of food between 4:30 and 5:30 today at Walhalla’s St. Luke Methodist Church.

South Union’s volunteer fire department, along with other resources, is battling a structure fire this morning in the vicinity of Mill Creek Road and Allen Drive.  No injuries are reported in what’s called a storage-type facility.  According to Oconee County dispatch, a lightning strike was reported in that area moments before the fire broke out.
