School teacher Josh Roberts will ask Walhalla voters on November 2 to grant him a new, four-year term on city council.  With two and a half days left for qualifying, the race for three seats on the city council looks this way:  incumbent candidates Roberts and Keith Pace; newcomers Tyler Jordan and Grant Keehn.

It’s another Wednesday afternoon for the Methodists in Walhalla to give away food.  You can get a box of food between 4:30 and 5:30 this afternoon at the St. Luke Methodist Church on on E. Main Street.

The police and what appeared to be a pair of tow trucks remain at the scene of an accident this morning near Seneca.  No injuries reported, according to county dispatch.  The highway patrol logged the accident at 3:33 this morning on 123, the Clemson Boulevard near the Carson Road.

Announced on the Walhalla football Razorbacks Facebook page:  This Friday night’s game at Pendleton has been called off because of the continuing COVID-19 difficulties in the Razorback program.  Meantime, Razorback football activities will resume tomorrow for players who have tested non-positive.

New SC cases:  3,121.  (Sixty-nine in Oconee County) Statewide, nine more people have been entered in the death toll. The latest positivity:  16.2%. (These numbers reported this afternoon reflect DHEC’s counting for Sunday).
