First day of August South Carolina COVID numbers

For Sunday, August 1—the latest day for which COVID-19 numbers are available in South Carolina—DHEC reports the following:  new cases, 1,651.  Of those new cases, eight are Oconee County residents.  Statewide, two new confirmed deaths have been added to the rolls of the deceased in the state.  Of 20,910 test results received, the positivity was 19.7%.
