Senecan snared in undercover police probe

A 42-year old Seneca man was jailed Monday, charged by the city police with crack cocaine distribution “third or subsequent offense.”  Law enforcement records show James Bernard Williams as having allegedly distributed a quantity of crack June 17 to, what the arrest warrant described, as “a reliable undercover operative working at the direction of the Seneca Police Department.”

Law enforcement authorities have implicated a 34-year old man in a weekend burglary at a home on Union Crossing Court.  Guns, jewelry, a safe, and a pressure washer were stolen and Shane William Meredith was arrested Monday on the charge of first degree burglary.  Some of the stolen items, including three firearms, were recovered.
