In days of old, the land on which WGOG was built was farmed for cotton  Some of the land surrounding the station is rife with wildlife.  The latest is a healthy looking fox roaming the grounds behind the station this morning.  The other day three deer stood across SC 183 as if they were about to cross the two-lane highway.
