Casey Bowling, Seneca police chief, says his officer injured in an accident this morning and sent for treatment has been released by the hospital with what he said are minor injuries.  A second injured driver at 123 and EN 1st was flown away for medical treatment, and a medical condition has not been made available to 101.7/WGOG NEWS.

On today’s SC DHEC COVID-19 report, 607 new cases, including 13 in Oconee.  Added to toll of dead are 12 South Carolinians.  Of 18,516 test results, the positivity dropped slightly, to 4.6%.

The Franklin County community of Gumlog, Georgia has until 5 pm today take an online survey on whether to incorporate into a town.  The survey is open also to residents of Franklin County.  According to Lake Hartwell Radio WLHR, Derek Turner, the Franklin County manager, some Gumlog residents are open to the idea of incorporation.

A second man has been arrested in the police investigation of gunfire last week at a Westminster street corner.  According to law enforcement records, the second arrest is that of Jerad Milton Grimes.  Eighteen-year old Grimes is charged with assault/battery by mob second degree in the shooting that wounded and hospitalized a 24-year old man.

A two-car accident this morning at a Seneca intersection involved a Seneca police vehicle and apparent injury to two people who were taken to hospitals.  The accident occurred around 7:30 at 123 By-Pass and E.
